GWAR Frontman Interviewed On 'Skull Records Radio' (Video)
November 21, 2011Skull Records Radio recently conducted an interview with GWAR frontman Dave Brockie (who goes by the stage name Oderus Urungus) prior to the band's concert in St. Louis, Missouri. You can now watch the chat below. (Note: The interview begins around the 3:20 mark.)
GWAR guitarist Cory Smoot, a.k.a. Flattus Maximus, was found dead as the the band was about to enter Canada on November 3. He was 34 years old.
Smoot joined GWAR in 2002 and first appeared on the band's 2004 album "War Party". He was the fifth guitarist to play the character of Flattus Maximus, known by his red face, white dreadlocks, dinosaur-head shoulder pads and reptile feet.
Born August 25, 1977, Smoot previously played in metal bands MISGUIDED and LOCUS FACTOR and continued to play with MENSREA, in addition to establishing his own solo project, THE CORY SMOOT EXPERIMENT.
